Stable LM 2 is available in two versions: the base model and an instruction-tuned variant called Stable LM 2 Zephyr. The model is licensed under Stability AI's Non-Commercial Research Community License for non-commercial purposes, with commercial usage requiring a Stability AI Membership.

The model is an autoregressive LLM that is trained to continue text from a prompt on a huge amount of text data.
